Having a wonderful time

Well, it's been a week of our 10-day break. We've been to the beach, and Disney World's Animal Kingdom, spent eleventy jillion hours in the pool, and jauntily bounced the Intracoastal on a Jet Ski.

Weather? 80 degrees, blue skies, and warm breezes. (Yes, damn you, Florida! Damn your tropical warmth!)

Health-wise I am, finally, well.

Seriously? I can not begin to decribe what a blessing this week has been. I feel like a new person. Even the moments I have spent dancing with my Grandmother's ghost have been healing.

My mom once told me that there is no such thing as a "geographical cure".

No offense meant to my mom, but she's wrong.

If what ails you has chilled your world into shades of gray? Then get thee to paradise.

'Cuz... yeah.

Yeah.

took your advice and signing up for the geographical cure. booked flights last night. flying on 28th for 15 days. can't wait. i feel more relaxed already. Hoping it dually servces as a relationship cure, too. Hope your grandma won't mind the intrusion!

That picture on the beach is just so neat! I very much believe in that cure.... Just being near the ocean and getting away always refreshes me. I am so glad you are all having a much needed break!

I'm so jealous! What a good time of year to go south! It looks like you had an incredible time -- I bet Bear was at the perfect age to really enjoy all you did. Now back to the real world. I don't know about you, but there's nothing like getting away, even for a couple of days, to help me see "real life" in a better way.
