Me and Job, LikeThis

August 23, 2007 | Category: In My Life

We've had a tornado touchdown about 35 miles to the west.

Already we've had so much rain in the past month that our roof, ceilings, and walls are permanently wet.

It's too much.

Bear is, at this minute, saying prayers that 'only bad guys and mosquitoes' get caught in it. Oh, and that 'it doesn't water inside the house'.

If you're the type that likes to listen to the rain, or thunder, here is the view out my front door about 1 AM. I just let the camera record for a minute...

That's terrible. We've been getting the rains, too, but so far our area hasn't had the flooding some other areas nearby have had, or the high winds flattening the crops (we farm). We do NOT need that. Here's hoping your rain stops SOON.

Yes, that's the ceiling in the den.

The roof blew a hole, and it rained so much that the ceiling collapsed onto my fax machine, printer, and a book case.

We patched as best as we could - and then, the rain never stopped.

Blue painter's tape vs. Tornado weather = weather wins.

Dangit

We've been dealing with the clouds that look like they might dump some water on us but never do. The grass is pretty much dead and the flower gardens are constantly screaming for water. Meanwhile, just a couple of hundred miles to my south there are floods. Crazy!

I hope that you guys get to dry out very soon here. It looks like it's coming soon, although the day I'll trust a weatherman is the day I'll wear a bikini in public.

I hope there's some insurance coverage for the roof and your ceiling. I get stressed out hearing stories of people whose in$urance (apparently that word is a no-no with your spam catcher!) company is screwing them over.

Is that top picture INSIDE your house?! You might not realize this, but that is NOT GOOD. Not good at all.

I'm also so sick of this rain!!! So sorry that you're having water inside the house! According to our lovely weatherman, this weekend should be beautiful. Let's hope as my boys are so sick of being inside, and so am I!!!
